Warren County supervisors select new tourism director
New York native Alfred Snow to start September 12
WARREN COUNTY, NY -- The Warren County Board of Supervisors has named Alfred W. Snow IV to serve as the county’s next Director of Tourism.
Snow, a native of Central New York with connections to the Adirondacks and Warren County, comes to Warren County from Polk County, Florida, where he worked with Visit Central Florida, a destination marketing organization, as part of a career in tourism and marketing.
He will replace Joanne Conley, who retired as Warren County Tourism Director on May 31. She served as Tourism Director for 6-1/2 years before her retirement.
Snow will begin his tenure with the Warren County Tourism Department on Monday, September 12.
The county Director of Tourism is responsible for planning, developing and implementing programs to promote Warren County and its facilities and businesses as a premier destination for leisure travel, group tours and special events through marketing and advertising campaigns. The director oversees a department of five full-time and two-part-time staff members.

Growing up as an outdoorsman in Central New York I spent a lot of time in the Adirondacks fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, and participating in just about every outdoor activity that I could. I am also fond of the many personal and family trips I made to the Lake George area spending time on Million Dollar Beach, cruising the lake on the Minnie Ha-Ha, escaping the rain at the arcades, and spending countless hours at The Great Escape. Anytime I visited the area we always closed out our visit with a special final night dinner at Mario’s in Lake George.”

He has some great ideas to build on the outstanding work that has been done by our Tourism Department to make our region the destination that it has become.”
