Warren County DPW seeks public input on Quaker Road construction plan

Warren County Department of Public Works is seeking public input on a proposal to repair and repave Quaker Road, also known as Warren County Routes 47 and 70, in Queensbury.

The project would involve the replacement of 18 culverts, rehabilitation of the pavement, installation of ADA compliant ramps, replacement of signs and additional work over a 3.96-mile stretch of Quaker Road from Route 9 to Lower Warren Street.

This work is expected to begin in Spring 2023. The project’s costs have not been finalized, as design is ongoing.

Warren County Department of Public Works has created a public information presentation for the project that has been posted here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/LrCbMqAtSWE.

This video public information presentation has been created to receive comments on the proposed project from individuals, groups, officials, and local agencies and to present the proposed design for pavement rehabilitation, roadway section, and minor intersection improvements.

The presentation is part of the continuing efforts by the involved local, state, and federal agencies to encourage public input into the development of transportation projects.

A Public Notice and the link to the virtual meeting are also located on the Warren County website at warrencountyny.gov.

Any person who wishes to provide comments on the proposed project can send comments via e-mail to Ed Snyder at esnyder@gpinet.com or at PublicInfo@WarrenCountyDPW.com by June 18, 2022.
