Warren County DPW and its partners are completing plans for a culvert replacement on Peaceful Valley Road (County Route 29) in the Town of Johnsburg that is anticipated to occur in Spring 2024.The existing culvert, for a tributary to North Creek, dates to 1948 and requires corrective action.
The roadway will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic during construction. The anticipated detour route for this project will consist of State Route 28 and State Route 8. The approximate length of the detour is 9 miles. A dedicated pedestrian and bicyclist detour will not be provided for this project during construction.
As the community may be impacted by the proposed construction activities and planned detour route, we would offer the opportunity for the public to provide comments, questions and concerns, and to open a dialog to discuss the preliminary plans for the proposed culvert replacement project at this location.
