WARRENSBURG -- Countryside Adult Home, owned and operated by Warren County in Warrensburg, has been caring for our senior citizens for over 50 years, and renovations that wrapped up in recent weeks set the home up for another 50-plus years of superior care for our seniors!

A tour of the revamped home was offered last week, and both interior and exterior work resulted in a completely modernized facility. Just a few punch list items remain, but the new dining room, activities room, offices, lounges, furniture and resident rooms are being enjoyed by residents. There is a new video game room, spa tub and more that Countryside Administrator Amy McByrne said are hits with the residents!

"We are very happy with the way the project turned out. It's like we have a brand new facility," McByrne said.

Nearly $4.2 million was budgeted for the work, which included $1.2 million in ventilation improvements. State grants and American Rescue Plan Act funding covered nearly $2.3 million of the tab. The Warren County Board of Supervisors approved the project, and Warren County Department of Planning and Community Development obtained grant funding while Warren County DPW oversaw the project.

The 48-bed adult home on Schroon River Road offers adult day care and respite care, and has a few openings for residential care, with both single and double rooms. Call 518-623-3451 or log on to warrencountyny.gov/cs for more information.
