Office for the Aging seeks drivers for senior programs

meals

The Warren/Hamilton County Office for The Aging is looking for friendly & reliable volunteer drivers for our Medical Transportation Program and Home Delivered Meals Program!!

Our Mission: To enable people to live as fully and independently as possible by providing nutrition, transportation and social services to older persons, persons with disabilities, veterans and the general public. Our vision is to eradicate senior hunger and eliminate transportation gaps within Warren and Hamilton Counties.

Medical Transportation Program
This service is provided by volunteers using their own vehicles and is available to
Warren/Hamilton County residents 60(+) years of age, who are unable to use
public transportation or who cannot make private arrangements. Transportation is
for medical appointments only.

Home Delivered Meals Program
The Home Delivered Meals program provides nutritionally balanced meals and socialization to homebound seniors and persons with disabilities. We strive to be as efficient as possible in accord with the ever increasing senior population of our community. We provide support services to older citizens so that they can continue to live in their own homes as long as possible.

Some benefits of being a volunteer driver:
● Meet new people and gain new experiences
● Gain a sense of pride and accomplishment for helping a senior maintain their
independence
● Experience personal growth
● Give back to your community
● Personal development and possible education opportunities
Warren/Hamilton Counties Office for the Aging provides mileage reimbursement for our volunteer
