The Warren County Clerk’s Office is the collection point for various fees, including the Mortgage Recording Tax (click here for a Schedule of Fees https://warrencountyny.gov/clerk/fees).
The Mortgage Recording Tax is charged at a rate of $1.25 per $100 of principal debt secured by a mortgage.
On December 1, 2020, a portion of that rate (25 cents of the $1.25) expired.
