Congratulations to Warren County's Employee of the Month, Andrea Kinderman Galeno from Warren County Employment & Training Administration! Andrea was nominated by her supervisor, Liza Ochsendorf, Warren County Director of Employment & Training. Here is what Liza had to say about Andrea:

"Andrea has been Warren County Employment & Training Coordinator for two years now and she has made tremendous impacts for our community in such a short period of time and despite all the challenges of COVID.

Andrea is responsible for building and maintaining communication between the community and our Career Center so that the public is aware of services, opportunities, and new information. Her work extends beyond our department and into other County departments as well because she is the creative talent behind the social media flyers that promote many of our open positions in Public Health, Corrections, Countryside, etc.  She also designs and organizes our quarterly newsletter that you receive.

In our partnership with Social Services, Andrea has been praised by our DSS colleagues for securing at least 10 work experience program sites in our community so that people who continuously face barriers with securing employment can gain experience, skills, and confidence at the designated worksite organizations.  Beyond that she also supports the Summer Youth Employment Program and serves as the primary contact for our Metrix online learning platform.

Andrea’s work has also extended beyond our county.

When Schenectady County could no longer manage our regional virtual workshop logistics due to staffing shortages, Andrea volunteered to help so that this valuable service to county and regional residents continued.  She creates the monthly virtual workshop calendar, manages the Zoom platform, and analyzes and shares the data from the participants.  Thousands of people have participated in these virtual workshops since we launched them in October 2020 and already over 1100 people so far in 2022.  We are grateful for this work because it has definitely helped to get more people back to work.
