Congratulations are in order for Christine Latham, our Warren County Employee of the Month for July!
Christine joined the Warren County Clerk’s Office in 2009 as a Legal Recording Clerk following a career as a town assessor in Washington County for 19+ years. Her knowledge of real property was then and continues to be invaluable to our office and related offices, and she was quickly promoted to Senior Legal Clerk.
County Clerk Pam Vogel said Christine has unequaled knowledge and understanding of New York State Supreme Civil Court matters including mandatory electronic filing which was introduced to our office in 2018. Judicial duties include daily interaction with our Combined Court Clerk’s Office and with our Supreme Court Justices, County Judge and the confidential staff of each.
"She remains respected by all and is an exceptional resource within the 4th Judicial District, NYSCEF and our own NYS Supreme Court," Pam Vogel said.
The office filing workload has grown to include annual filings that include 70,000 documents, 22,000 fee and no-fee court items; $13 million worth of over-the-counter activity and 238,000 new court and real property images.
To that end, State Supreme Court Justice Martin Auffredou attended the July 21st ceremony at the Board of Supervisors meeting to tell supervisors that Christine "has been a consummate professional since the day I met her" and detail the work she does to assist the court system.
"Without you, we would not function as well as we do," Auffredou told her.
