Dean Moore began work as Warren County's new Director of Parks & Recreation on August 19th! Dean comes to Warren County from Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District, and had previously worked for Parks & Rec as well as Up Yonda Farm during his earlier career path.
Dean takes over for the recently retired Tim Benway, and spent the last 14-plus years with Warren County Soil & Water Conservation District. A Warrensburg resident, he is integrally familiar with all of the parks and recreation offerings available through Warren County, such as the Warren County Fish Hatchery, Warren County Bikeway, boat launches, Swede Mountain Firetower hiking trail, Warren County Fairgrounds and more.
Soil & Water Conservation District staff work closely with Parks & Recreation staff on a number of projects, Moore pointed out.
"I'm really excited," he said. "We have a lot of great things to offer to residents and visitors."
