Warren County Office of Emergency Services announced Friday that more than 3,500 COVID-19 home tests kits have been received to be distributed to Warren County residents through their local town or city government representatives.
The rapid test kits, which allow residents to quickly test themselves for COVID-19 without a visit to a medical practice or testing clinic, were received from New York State and will be made available free of charge. Distribution locations are listed below. Residents who would like to receive kits can contact their local town hall, or Glens Falls City Hall for Glens Falls residents, for details about availability, as they will be distributed first come, first served.
“Distributing these testing kits to municipalities to pass on to their residents will allow us another conduit to make sure individuals throughout the county have easy access to COVID-19 testing, an important aspect of slowing the spread of COVID-19. We thank our county supervisors and our Office of Emergency Services for working with us to distribute these tests at locations they designate in their communities,” said Kevin Geraghty, Warrensburg Town Supervisor and Chairman of the Warren County Board of Supervisors.
Warren County residents who use a home test and get a positive result should report their result to Warren County Health Services through this online portal: https://warrencountyny.gov/COVIDHomeTestReport.
