Warren County is seeking applicants to lead the Warren County Tourism Department as Director of Tourism. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee a department that does exciting things to promote the outstanding events, businesses and organizations that make Warren County a leading hospitality destination.
The Director is responsible for planning, developing and implementing programs that responsibly promote and support the tourism industry in the Lake George Area through marketing, collaboration, and communication with regional tourism partners and visitors.
This individual will oversee a staff that uses various platforms, including media buys, earned media and social media, to market Warren County and the Lake George Region nationally and internationally. Minimum qualifications include:
1) A bachelor's degree or higher and eight (8) years of full-time paid experience in the field of
travel/tourism, hospitality communications, tourism/hospitality marketing or related field, two (2) years
of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity, or
2) Sixty credit hours or more of post-high school coursework and ten (10) years of full-time paid
experience in the field of travel/tourism, hospitality communications, tourism/hospitality marketing or
related field; two (2) years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity, or
3) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and twelve (12) years
of full-time paid experience in the field of travel/tourism, hospitality communications, tourism/hospitality
marketing or related field; two (2) years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
