SWEDE MOUNTAIN FIRETOWER CLOSED AS OF SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10
The trail to Swede Mountain (owned and maintained by Warren County) is officially closed as of Saturday, September 10 for hunting season. Please abide by this closure, which was a condition of a private landowner allowing use of their property for the trail. The tower will be inaccessible, and there are no views from the mountain outside of the tower.
The ADK Fire Tower Challenge also will not count hikes done during this closure period for the challenge.
The trail will reopen on December 16, just in time for winter hiking and some fabulous views of snow-covered mountains to the north and west! Thank you for your cooperation!
