Warren County Health Services Director Ginelle Jones was honored Thursday with the Glens Falls Rotary Club's "Citizen of the Year" Award for 2021!
She was surprised at the club's June 10 meeting at The Queensbury Hotel, having been asked to give a presentation about Warren County's response to the COVID-19 pandemic only to be given the club's prestigious award at the end of her talk. Timothy Bechard from the Rotary Club presented her with the award, with remarks from Dr. William Borgos as well.
Rotary Club members secretly invited Ginelle's family and Public Health colleagues to surprise her. In true Ginelle Jones fashion, she shared the credit with Health Services Deputy Director Patricia Belden and the rest of the Health Services staff, their Warren County colleagues and the community for helping Warren County weather the pandemic.
"It has truly been a team effort that involved the whole community," Ginelle said. "I'm so thankful for my staff and all of the help we received along the way."
