Congratulations are in order for Warren County Deputy Fire Coordinators Chip Mellon and Ted Little, Warren County Employees of the Month for October!
Both men are past fire chiefs of their home departments (Mellon in Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, Little in Chestertown Volunteer Fire Department ) and have been involved in the local fire service for decades. Deputy fire coordinators assist the fire coordinator and Warren County Office of Emergency Services with response to fires and other calls.
Mellon, third from left in the photo, has been the Fire Coordinator Office's training coordinator, supervises the marine rescue team and helps maintain equipment. Little serves as fire coordinator for a period in 2021 and has been instrumental in coordinating fire response in the northern part of the county.
Both were praised for the countless hours they have put in to coordinate and improve fire protection and emergency response in Warren County.
"Without the dedication of both of these men, we would not be in the good shape that we are today," Fire Coordinator Ralph Bartlett said.
Little was unable to attend the presentation on Friday. Mellon is pictured with Emergency Services Director Ann Marie Mason, Fire Coordinator Bartlett and Kevin Geraghty, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.
