What is the Prenatal Program?
Warren County offers a program to compliment the care you receive from your primary health care provider during your pregnancy. The Prenatal Program offers information on pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. Your Nurse can facilitate insurance enrollment; and provide service coordination. Warren County Public Health Nurses will also assist you with services for the needs you identify. In addition, the nurse will make home visits to provide you with information, take your blood pressure, and assess you for potential complications related to your health and pregnancy. The nurse will be happy to answer questions and provide suggestions for your discomforts. Our goal is to offer you information and support during your pregnancy to help keep you and your baby healthy.

How Much Will It Cost?
Many insurance companies recognize the value of preventive health care services, and provide coverage for maternal child related home visits. New York State Department of Health requires that our agency attempt to bill for reimbursement whenever possible. In the event your insurance plan requires a co-payment for the service, our billing office staff will be happy to work with you to assure that you do not experience any financial hardship or feel you cannot accept home visits because of fear of experiencing a bill. In the event your insurance does not cover a home visit, you may still receive services using a sliding scale fee. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us.
