VA recalling all vets who took Mefloquine(Lariam) in Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan!!!!
All vets who served in Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan issued the weekly anti malaria drug Mefloquine (Lariam) to prevent malaria
that are still having side effects from the drug, contact your local VA Environmental Health Coordinator.

Service members exposed to mefloquine may complain of long-term symptoms of dysequilibrium, vertigo, sleep disturbance, and persistent
changes in personality or mood. These may overlap with symptoms already caused by PTSD.
