The sample Innkeepers Recognizance record has been folded four times, and is made out of rough paper. The record is a hand-written, cursive document. It reads:
"Warren County, on the fourth day of May in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen..." and goes on to mention a 'Mary Buck' by name.
