BUSINESS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Classroom training
A Small Business Planning course is typically offered Fall and Spring semesters and held at Crandall Library in Glens Falls. The class is held over eleven evening classes once a week, and is sponsored by the Warren County Local Development Corporation.
The class is designed to provide you with in-depth coverage of the entire business process. You will receive instruction in how to develop a workable business plan and discuss ways to help you secure financing for your venture. Each week, an expert in a particular small business field will share his/her experience with you, including discussions on such topics as goal planning, record keeping and bookkeeping, funding, legal issues, local resources, marketing, advertising, and customer service.
As a special feature, the program has been recently revamped to include more hands-on exercises, including time for your to work, with our staff, in putting together a complete business plan. In addition, several successful small business owners and former class participants will be attending sessons to share their stories and to provide encouragement.
