Warren County E-911 Coordination
In January 2005, the GIS section of the Planning and Community Development Department took over responsibility for E-911 Coordination in Warren County. This includes assignment of E-911 addresses for new properties, resolving addressing and road range problems, and maintaining the master street data for emergency dispatching.
In accordance to Local Law 2 (Warren County Board of Supervisors Resolution #395 of 2011) effective JULY 11, 2011, there is a fee for each E-911 address assigned. The fee applied depends on how the addressing is completed (e.g., within the office referencing aerial photos and/or site plan versus site visit). Please refer to the table below for details on the fee case.
PAYMENT FOR E-911 ADDRESSING MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE NOTIFICATION AND FINAL FORMS ARE SUBMITTED TO THE APPLICANT.
| CASE | DESCRIPTION | FEE |
|---|---|---|
| Single Address - Office Completion | Property has pre-2009 driveway and/or house visible on aerial photos (address completed in office) | $15 |
| Single Address - Site Visit Required | Property has a pre-2009 driveway and/or house but is not visible on aerial photos. Field investigation is required to measure distances for address calculation. Field investigation time is based on mileage from the Warren Count municipal center to the site location and back plus five miinutes to record location via GPS. | $15 + Field Time ($30/hour rounded to nearest quarter hour) |
| Single Address - Vacant Land with Site Plan | Property is vacant land (no house or driveway), but site plan of proposed development is submitted (address completed in office). | $15 |
| Single Address - Vacant Land Only | Property is vacant land (no house or driveway), with a PRELIMINARY address assigned using center of property's road frontage. Addresses in such cases are usually processed to enable utility installation (power, cable, etc.) or to satisfy bank requirements. If a building is constructed in the future, the applicant should contact the Warren County E-911 Coordinator to verify the address validity. | $15 |
| Subdivisions (2 or more tax parcels) | Site plan must be submitted of proposed development indicating location of each respective driveway and building per new tax parcel lot. | $15 per address |
