Office Relocation

The Warren County Building Codes department has relocated; we are now located in the Warren County Human Services building, located at 1340 State Route 9, Lake George NY 12845.

As of February 22nd, 2010, Amanda’s Law Takes Effect

This law applies to all new & existing buildings without regard to the date of construction.

Structures built after January 1st, 2008 requires the following:

• One carbon monoxide alarm is required on each story with a sleeping area
• 1 on each story that contains a carbon monoxide source (i.e.: fuel fired appliances, solid fuel burning appliances, fireplaces, garages, and all other motor vehicle related occupancies)

Structures built before January 1st, 2008 requires the following:

• One carbon monoxide alarm is required on the lowest story having a sleeping area
